The Department of Finance – Abu Dhabi (DoF) has announced its upcoming participation at GITEX technology week 2015, which is taking place at the Dubai World Trade Centre from 18-22 October. DoF will be showcasing a range of the e-services it has launched to develop the Emirate’s financial and customs systems, at the Abu Dhabi government stand.

During its participation at GITEX technology week 2015, DoF will showcase the latest developments of its smart phone and tablets app, ‘AD DOF’. The app offers a wide range of features including HR services, supplier services and the ’Dhabi Mobile Inspection Service’ for employees of the General Administration of Customs- Abu Dhabi.

Visitors to DoF’s stand will also be introduced to the latest services and developments of the Abu Dhabi Shared Enterprise Resource Planning (ADERP) system, DoF’s smart phone app for military retirement services, ‘AD Pension’, and the Customs Operating (Dhabi) systems, amongst others.

HE Hamad Al Hurr Al Suwaidi, Chairman of DoF- Abu Dhabi, said: “DoF is committed to continuously developing and expanding its IT infrastructure, to provide leading services and maintain the high quality of Abu Dhabi’s financial and customs work. This leads to the optimal use of government financial resources, by reducing time and effort to perform tasks, which in turn benefits all parties and leads to customer satisfaction.

HE Al Suwaidi added: “Participating in GITEX provides a good opportunity to showcase the Department’s achievements in the smart and electronic field, especially in terms of the services provided to its partners from the private and public sector, as well as individuals. I commend the efforts of our team, who have conducted several studies to develop services and systems that meet customers’ needs in the financial and customs sectors. This plays an important role in achieving sustainable development in the Emirate.”

Earlier this year, DoF participated in the “Smart Government Exhibition 2015”, alongside several local and international government entities and departments. Last year, DoF also participated in GITEX, which is considered one of the region’s most important global ICT events.
