As part of its participation in GITEX technology week 2015

During its participation in GITEX Technology Week 2015, the Department of Finance - Abu Dhabi (DoF), showcased the latest update on its military pension’s e-services and “AD pension” app, which can be downloaded on smart phones and tablets that are compatible with Apple Store and Google Play.

DoF offers pension services for military retirees and civilian employees from the General Command of the Armed Forces, General Directorate of Abu Dhabi Police, the Civil Defense General Directorate Abu Dhabi, the General Directorate of Residence and Foreigners Affairs - Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Sharjah, in addition to other offices in the General Command of the Armed Forces.

HE Safwan Obeid bin Safwan, Executive Director of Government Accounts Sector, said: “We are committed to continuously developing DoF’s e-systems and applications, most importantly the military pension services app, in order to provide the highest level of services to military retirees.” HE also added that in 2013, DoF completed the upload of the military retirees and their beneficiaries’ data through an integrated e-system. This system allows to save retirees’ data and follow up on changes that may occur in the future, while keeping them informed on any of these changes.

The military pension system features leading e-services that allow military retirees or their beneficiaries to access their detailed monthly pension which is transferred to their bank, and conduct detailed audits for retirement pensions, settlements and amendments, along with ‘direct response services’ providing fast and clear answers for any inquiries.

DoF developed the smart phone and tablet apps “AD Pension” in order to provide immediate services for military retirees. These services include issuing certificates and reports that military retirees request for.
