DoF is confident of reaching its strategic objectives within the preset timeline, given the fact of the strong expertise in the accounting and budgeting fields. Also, DoF has invested extensively in training its employees and enhancing their skills. Moreover, the developed information technology environment and the long experience that DoF boasts in the financial sector supporting the Abu Dhabi government at all levels, will ensure attaining the goals according to schedule.

 

The Customs Directorate receives special attention as one of the most important directorates at DoF by providing security to all borders. The Customs has an important role in achieving revenues by leveraging on the trade between Abu Dhabi and other parts of the region. These factors will not only help to implement the plan according to the set time-line, but they will also involve other departments and stakeholders on financial policies and systems.

DOF already started some of the initiatives. Furthermore, the Strategic Planning and Performance Management Office will organize a series of comprehensive workshops at each division within DoF to highlight the topics, objectives and the details of the strategic plan to all employees.

 

These workshops will explain the role of the employees in executing the plan, and the workshops will be supervised and coordinated with all general managers of each directorate or division.
